To
better serve the citizen who wants to consult the maximum price at which to buy
medicines at pharmacies and drugstores, the CMED Drug Price List has changed
its format. As of now, the drugs
are ordered by active principle, pharmaceutical form and concentration, as well
as the Public Purchase List, making it easier to consult and compare prices.
The amendment partially complies with the determinations made by the European
Court of Auditors, which has made it easier to research and compare medicines
prices.
It should also be noted that Price Lists are also published in spreadsheet
format, allowing for any classification and editing of filters.

Medication Prices (Factory Price and Maximum Consumer Price)
The
list of Prices of Medicines contemplates the Factory Price or Manufacturer
Price which is the price practiced by the companies that produce or import the
product and by the distribution companies. The
PF is the maximum price allowed for sale to pharmacies, drugstores and public
administration entities. It also
presents the Maximum Consumer Price, which is practiced by pharmacies and
drugstores. The PMC is the
maximum price allowed for sale to the consumer and includes taxes per state.
